Getting Started with Your Mobile Eagle Card

Submit your Eagle Card photo, activate your Mobile Credential, and add it to Apple Wallet, Google Wallet, or Samsung Wallet.

Step 1: Submit Your Eagle Card Photo

Before your Mobile Credential can be issued, you must submit an Eagle Card photo for approval.

Photo Requirements:

  • The photo must be at least 600 pixels by 600 pixels.  This is less than one Megapixel and any webcam, cell phone, or other digital photo devices should be able to meet this requirement without any difficulty.
  • The length of your face must occupy ½ to ¾ of the length of the image (crop the photo from just above the head approximately to the collarbone).  The face must be centered, pointed directly towards the camera, and not tilted.
  • The photo must be taken in front of a plain, neutral (white, cream, or off-white) background without any textures, patterns, or markings.
  • The photo must be full color.  Image must not be altered in any way or use any filters.
  • Prescription eyeglasses with clear lenses should only be worn in the picture if you wear them on a daily basis and must not obscure the eyes.  Hat or head covering may only be worn if worn daily for religious purposes.  No other accessories that obscure any portion of the face or head should be worn.
  • Your face should have a neutral expression or natural smile with eyes open.  Your full face must be visible and free of shadows. Your eyes must also be clearly visible.
  • Your photo must be taken within 6 months of submission.

Government ID:

  • Users must submit a photo of a government-issued ID. The photo should clearly show the entire ID, including all identifying information and the photo on the ID itself.

Submitting your Photo

Once you have received your Tennessee Tech user account credentials, please submit your photo to be displayed on your Mobile Credential: 

  1. If you haven’t done so already, please set up your user account in TechExpress. 

  1. Please review the photo requirements above and

    • Have your ID photo ready and your government issued ID ready.

  2. You can submit your photo by selecting

Step 2: Wait for Approval

Once your photo has been approved by the Eagle Card Office, your Mobile Credential will become available in the Transact eAccounts application.  Proceed to Step 3 to enable your Mobile Credential.

Important: Do not continue with setup until your photo has been approved.  If you get a denial email please see the FAQ below or contact us directly.

Step 4: Sign In to eAccounts

  1. Open the eAccounts application on your device.
  2. Search for Tennessee Tech University.
  3. Sign in using your Tennessee Tech credentials.
  4. Complete Multi-Factor Authentication when prompted

Step 5: Add Your Mobile Credential

  1. Open the eAccounts app on your
  2. Select your Eagle Card.
  3. Select Add to Wallet.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Using Your Mobile Eagle Card

Your Mobile Eagle Card can be used across campus just like your physical Eagle Card.

FAQs

  • If photo is denied for any reason we will review the entry and send you an email with the reason for denial.
    • If your photo gets immediately denied it is commonly due to missing to submit a government ID as required for the process.
    • Please contact us directly should you have any issues with this process.
Once your Mobile Credential has been successfully activated, your physical EagleCard is automatically deactivated.

What if I get a new phone?

  • Most wallet applications should automatically transfer your mobile credential to the new device along with your wallet settings.  If your device doesn't transfer the mobile credential with wallet application, you must remove the mobile credential from the wallet of your old device.  If the old device is not available, please contact the EagleCard office and ask them to retire your mobile credential.  After it is retired, wait 5 minutes and then access the eAccounts application on your new device and add the card to your wallet.
Most wallet platforms will migrate your credential automatically during device replacement. If it does not transfer, contact the EagleCard Office.

What should I do if my phone is lost or stolen?

  • To reactivate a found device that was suspended, perform the following steps: 

      In the Transact eAccounts App: 

  • Click the settings gear in the upper right corner.  

  • Select the Card Management option. 

  • Choose the credential you want to reactivate and toggle it on.  

  • You will receive a confirmation email. Only the selected card will be reactivated.   

  • In the Transact eAccounts Web Version: 

  • Select Card Services 

  • Select Activate Card 

  • Select the credential to reactivate  

  • You will receive a confirmation email. Only the selected card will be reactivated.   

Use eAccounts to deactivate your Mobile Credential and use Apple Find My or Google Find Hub to locate your device.
