Replacing Microsoft Products After Leaving TN Tech

Summary

This article will contain information for students, faculty, and staff to reference about how to continue using Microsoft products that TN Tech provided.

Body

Overview

When you depart from TN Tech, your TN Tech account will be disabled. This means that if any software you use is associated with your TN Tech account, that software will either need to be replaced or linked to a non-TN Tech account.

Common Examples

Microsoft Office 365 - including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, & Teams

TN Tech provides an Office 365 subscription for its students and employees but will not be granted after your account is disabled or removed. If you want to purchase a copy and link the purchased copy to a non-TN Tech email, you can start the purchasing process from Microsoft here.

Windows Operating System

The license will expire if you are using a free copy of the Windows that TN Tech provided. You must purchase a personal copy for further use of the Windows Operating System. You can compare current versions of Windows 10 and 11 here and follow their links for purchasing.
