What is the students.tntech.edu domain?
The students.tntech.edu domain is where all student email accounts WERE housed before 2020. If your email address has the extension of @students.tntech.edu, your email account is in the old student email tenant, but if your email address has the domain of @tntech.edu, your account is in the current email tenant and will not be purged due to this shutdown.
What is going to change?
Starting February 2020, the students.tntech.edu domain is going away. Impacted accounts are those accounts with the extension of @students.tntech.edu. ITS will purge all final remaining accounts at midnight Wednesday, October 19, 2022. If you want to keep any emails, files, etc currently in your students.tntech.edu inbox, ITS suggests that you store it elsewhere so as not to lose any contacts, important information/documents, or access to other accounts that depend on your @students.tntech.edu account. If you want to retain any of this information, please take action before October 18, 2022. Retrieving data from your account after this date will NOT be possible.
NOTE: ITS will not assist with the migration of any data beyond the help articles provided. It is the account owner's responsibility to migrate their data. After October, 18, 2022, all data will be deleted.
