How do I reset my password if I have forgotten it?

  • If you have set up your security questions in the TN Tech login portal, you can reset your own password there.
  • If you have not setup your security questions, contact the IT Help Desk.

 

How do I forward my TN Tech student email to another address?

  • In May 2020, TN Tech Policy 803 Email Use was published stating that email forwarding is no longer permitted from TN Tech accounts.

 

How do I print messages and save attachments in TN Tech student email?

To print an email:

  • Double-click on the message to open it.
  • Select the Printable View icon

To save an attachment:

  • Click on the message to view it in the preview area.
  • Click on the filename.
  • Select Save File > OK
  • Navigate to a location where you wish to save your message(s), such as a flash drive, or the My Documents folder in the PC labs or on your computer.
  • Type a filename if necessary.
  • Click Save.

 

How do I view my smartphone's connection to my TN Tech email?

  • Login to your student email account and select Settings.
  • Select View all Outlook Settings
  • Select General
  • Select Mobile Devices
  • Select a mobile device from the list to view the details.

 

What happens when I leave the university?

  • If you withdraw from TN Tech, your email account will be deactivated the next day.
  • If you graduate, you may continue to use your Tennessee Tech email account for one year. 
  • Due to a recent change in policy regarding the cost and risk of maintaining email accounts for individuals who have left the university, all alumni and retiree accounts were deactivated on February 29, 2020.
